Chicken Marsala


There are certain dishes that are completely enjoyable to make and chicken marsala is one of those. This very popular dish is unique in its own way and the flavors are just amazing. Chicken marsala is a lightly coated chicken breast cooked in marsala wine and mushrooms and is an ideal meal for one because the portion can be easily controlled. ½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon oregano
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup Marsala wine
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup mushrooms sliced
1 skinless boneless chicken breast
½ cup all purpose flour for coating


Using a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, pepper and oregano

-Coat the chicken breast in the flour mixture

-In a large skillet, melt butter and oil over medium heat

-Place the chicken breast in the pan; cook until lightly brown

-Turn over the chicken breast and add the mushrooms

-Pour in the Marsala wine and cover the skillet

-Allow the chicken to simmer for about 10 minutes, turning until cooked thoroughly

-Once the chicken marsala is complete, transfer to a serving plate and enjoy

This lovely chicken marsala meal is quick and easy to prepare and totally convenient for a weeknight dinner.
