Flatbread In Minutes

Looking for something quick and easy after a long day? A simple flatbread is the ideal meal for one and not to mention it can be a healthy option as well. Using simple ingredients found in your refrigerator, the choice is yours when it comes to toppings. Whatever you are in the mood for that day, you can literally throw it on your flatbread as long as the flavors coincide. Not to be confused with a pizza, flatbread is an anything goes type of meal and gives a totally different experience. This recipe is for a simple chicken, onion, bell pepper, spinach and cheese flatbread; to prepare this flatbread you will need…

Ingredients

1 package store bought flatbread
1 yellow bell pepper
1 tomato
½ package of baby spinach
1 cup of shredded cheddar
1 chicken breast sliced thinly
1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

-Dice the peppers and onions and set them aside

-Wash the spinach thoroughly

-Cut the chicken into small bite size pieces and season to your liking

-In a small skillet, cook the chicken thoroughly

-Place the flatbread on a baking sheet on and drizzle it with olive oil

-Sprinkle the flatbread with peppers, tomatoes, chicken, spinach and shredded cheddar cheese

-Place the dressed flatbread in the oven for 15 minutes until cheese is melted

-Remove the flatbread from the oven and cool for a few minutes

-Cut and serve

A great lunch time or dinner meal, a warm flatbread is the perfect lightweight entree for one.
