There are certain foods that could satisfy the majority of men in one sitting and some foods that require a second serving. The meat and potato man is the man who exclusively eats pastas, potatoes, meats, breads and cheeses but not much more. Vegetables rarely make an appearance in their diets which somehow have to be sneaked in. One simple meat and potatoes dish is pretty self explanatory with the only challenge being which type of meat to use. Whether it be chicken, pork, lamb or beef, the dish is always amazing, especially when you customize the flavors to your liking. To make a classic roasted chicken and potatoes dish you will need….
1 whole chicken
2 tablespoons olive oil
-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
-Thoroughly wash, peel and quarter the potatoes
-Season the potatoes with salt, pepper and additional seasons of your choice
-Thoroughly clean and season the whole chicken with rosemary and other seasonings of your choice
-In a baking pan, place the whole chicken in the center, cover with foil and bake for one hour
-Remove the foil and add the potatoes all around the chicken
-Place the pan back into the oven and bake for 20 minutes
-When the chicken and potatoes are golden brown, remove from the oven and serve when cool
