Fresh Fruit Salad


If you’re hosting family or friends, you might notice that some people choose to skip dessert. When asked, they might complain that most dessert options are unhealthy and fattening. However, skipping dessert is never an option when I’m hosting so I decided to look into healthier options. This led me to the obvious choice of a fruit salad. Oranges, strawberries and kiwis are high in vitamin C which can help fight colds and keep you in good health. The fruits added to this salad can also help clear skin problems like acne. Strawberries also contain salicylic acid which helps fight acne and blemishes. Below shows the one step recipe to create this fruit salad. It’s so easy that you can get your children involved in the kitchen by allowing them to make this. This dessert recipe can also double as a snack or can be even eaten for breakfast.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 1 cup of black raspberries
  • 1 cup of bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup of seedless grapes
  • 1 cup of seedless oranges, peeled and sectioned
  • 1 cup of peaches, diced
  • 1 cup of honeydew melon, diced
  • 1 cup of cantaloupe, diced
  • 1 cup of watermelon, diced
  • 1 cup of pineapple, diced
  • 1 cup of mangoes, diced
  • 4 kiwis, diced
  • 1/2 of a lemon, juiced and zested
  • Sugar to taste (optional)


PREP: 5 minutes

COOK: 30 seconds

READY IN: 15 minutes

SERVING SIZE: 8 servings


  1. Simply add all the fruits to a large bowl before adding the lemon zest and juice and tossing everything with the sugar. Refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
